RECOAT

Our work

Lobbying & Advocacy

Advocating for policy change alongside like-minded partners, and amplifying the voices of affected communities.

A community awareness session on human trafficking and safe migration attended by young women

Where RECOAT sees the need to advocate for policy change, it joins hands with other like-minded partners to press for policy change and amplify the concerns of the affected.

This includes community awareness and sensitization work — for example, sessions raising awareness in the fight against human trafficking among young women — alongside broader engagement on the humanitarian and development agenda RECOAT champions in Malawi, Africa, and beyond.

What this looks like

  • Policy advocacy in partnership with like-minded organizations
  • Community awareness and sensitization campaigns, including on human trafficking
  • Amplifying the concerns of disaster-affected and vulnerable communities to policymakers
