From February to May 2022, RECOAT took part in an Emergency Rapid Response consortium responding to the impacts of cyclones Ana and Gombe, working alongside CARE International, Eagles Relief, CARD, Emmanuel International, WOLRECH, and Girls Empowerment Network. RECOAT was also part of a related emergency response consortium with CRS (Catholic Relief Services) and CARD covering the same period.
As in RECOAT's later response to Cyclone Freddy, this work combined food and non-food item distribution with WASH support, drawing on relationships with consortium partners that let RECOAT reach more communities, more quickly, than it could alone.
