RECOAT focuses on crop diversification, food preservation, utilization and processing, sustainable land management, agribusiness, dietary diversification, livestock production, and small-scale and solar irrigation and agricultural production technologies.
This work responds directly to the food insecurity that follows disasters — cyclones have repeatedly destroyed crops in the field and in storage across RECOAT's operating districts — as well as to chronic vulnerability among smallholder households.
