RECOAT

Our work

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)

Improving sanitation and hygiene, expanding access to portable water, and building sanitation facilities in schools and communities — including WASH response during emergencies.

RECOAT focuses on improved sanitation and hygiene and provision of portable water, including construction of sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools and at community level.

During emergencies, WASH programming shifts to rapid response: administering sanitation and hygiene facilities for displaced households, distributing WASH kits, and rehabilitating boreholes so that disaster-affected communities regain safe water access as quickly as possible.

RECOAT delivered a Livelihoods and WASH project with partners OSSEDI and CADECOM from 2017 to 2022, building sustained WASH access alongside livelihoods support.
